I still am actually... I thought everything was going to be okay. Nothing bad could possibly happen. But, I guess that's what I get for being TOO optimistic.
But it's not his fault. I still want him to be my friend and I knew it would hurt too much if I tried to distance myself. I can't DO that anymore, not like how they told me to do back home even if it really hurts. I hope nothing else bad happens because... Dammit. Thankfully, he still doesn't mind. He's still my friend.
That's all I can be happy about for now."
FEEEEEELLLIIIIIIIIIIIIINGS. Okay so, Hakkai DID hurt Lien, but that was because of faulty perfume, bad timing, and bad luck! Still, it SCARED her a lot more than she lets on, but she also doesn't want to stop being Hakkai's friend. Actually, that fact in itself is what's frightening to her. Lien realizes she's beginning to change-- getting more attached to the friends she makes on the S.S. Thor, wanting to HAVE more than just friends-- and if she ever lost any of them or if any of them hurt/betrayed her intentionally, she realizes she wouldn't know what to do. She also had to fight back Hakkai using her powers, but that only hurt him (for a good reason of course) and that is something she hated herself for. But for now things have settled down and Lien's already patched things up with Hakkai. She's more wary than before, but she'll keep chugging along and hopefully get to know Hakkai better.
