Lien considers Kaoru a really good friend especially since he's recently the only one she's confided in about a set of matters which are completely different from what she usually chats about with her other friends. She partly chose to talk about her ~*feelings*~ with Kaoru randomly because... He was just there. And it really was a case of 'why the hell not?' But his replies to her were surprisingly comforting and she was even more surprised to learn that Kaoru has had his own love troubles. The more you know! After that particular conversation Lien feels like she should invest more time in getting to know Kaoru more and probably become better friends.
